Our annual cooking class is one of the best events of the year. We held the 2014 SCYPA cooking class back in April, and it was such a great event, we decided to do another one before the end of the year!

On Thursday, October 9th, 2014, join the Simcoe County Young Professionals Association as we learn the in’s and out’s of putting together a Thanksgiving dinner.  Chef Rich from Liberty North will be teaching us how to debone a turkey, and we’ll get to make (and sample!) the following menu:

  • Traditional Bead Stuffing
  • Creamy whipped Yukon gold potatoes
  • Roasted Maple pecan squash

The cost is only $40/person (paid SCYPA members can get their tickets HALF OFF – for only $20!!).  If you’d like to become a SCYPA member, please visit  To reserve your seat and purchase tickets to the cooking class, visit  Tickets will sell out quickly, so be sure to pick up your tickets today!

Photos From the 2014 SCYPA Cooking Class

Last night (April 15th, 2014), the Simcoe County Young Professionals Association participated in our annual cooking class at Liberty North with Chef Rich. Approximately 30 people attended the event where we learned & watched Chef Rich prepare a variety of dishes including Goat Cheese Brule, Homemade Gravlox, Steak Tartare and Sesame-Crusted Seared Ahi Tuna. Needless to say, the food was amazing, and the event was, again, one of the best SCYPA events of the year.

Browse through the images above to check out some of the dishes we sampled. The feedback on the event was so good, we’re going to try to put together a 2nd cooking class this year in the fall with a Thanksgiving/Christmas turkey dinner theme. We’ll let you know as soon as we have the details.
